The name of your business is Prose & Pens, but what exactly is Prose?

Prose is simply the ordinary words people use in speaking and writing. Basically, it's the everyday language we use to communicate.  

And you specialize in writing copy for businesses and entrepreneurs.  To what specifically does the word "copy" refer?

Copy refers to any written material in brochures, pamphlets, magazines, newspapers, books and promotional materials, and on blogs and websites.  

How do I book a Prose & Pens service?

To book most services, we'll need to get more information from you before we're able to provide a price quote.  We'd love it if you'd contact us here so that we are able to learn more about your specific service needs.  

 

What are payment expectations for services not purchased/paid in full via the website?

For services not paid in full, a minimum deposit of one-third to one half of the total cost is required before work on the project begins.  

The client will receive an invoice via email. The invoice may be paid online via debit card, credit card, or PayPal.  Any remaining balance is due before the final project is delivered to the client.  

What is the turnaround on a service?

Our goal is to always fulfill services as quickly as possible while maintaining the quality of service for which we are known, and that our clients deserve. With that being so, we quote all clients a turnaround time of minimally five (5) business days. However, total turnaround time depends on a few factors, including:

1) The type of service requested.  For example, while a 500 word document can be revised, edited, and returned in 36 hours or less, an e-book may take as long as two weeks to one month.

2) The expediency with which clients submit and/or approve edits.    

3) The volume of work we're already contracted for at the time services are requested.

We will always inquire about, and establish, a delivery date & time before the start of all projects. And if there is a project that needs immediate attention, we are happy to consider providing expedited service for an additional fee. Please let us know, when you inquire, whether you'll need expedited services.

What if I register for a workshop, or workshop series, but am unable to attend? 

Registration for each event is non-refundable. You can, however, transfer your registration to a person of your choice at any time up to three days before the workshop. If you need to do so, email us with the full name, email address, and mailing address of the person you’d like to take your place.

If you do not wish to transfer your registration, you may receive a credit for the workshop or workshop series that is good for a workshop, of the same prices, occurring within ninety (90) days of your originally scheduled workshop.  

Do you offer refunds on deposits and/or services?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of services provided, we do not offer refunds on deposits or for services rendered.  Our goal is to make sure each client receives exemplary service from start to finish.  We will work to deliver a final product that meets the quality, goals, and deadline agreed upon at the start of all projects.
